How to fix the piston ring.
1. Clean the piston and cylinder liner:
Before assembling the piston rings, make sure the surfaces of the piston
and cylinder liner are clean.
Clean them with a clean solvent and dry with a clean cloth or towel.
2.Ring groove preparation:
The ring groove is the position that piston rings are placed.
Check the ring groove whether there is damage or deformation and clean it.
Make sure the ring groove is smooth and free of burrs.
3. Install the first ring:
Place the first ring at the bottom of the piston ring groove.
Use an appropriate tool to press the ring evenly into the ring groove.
Make sure the ends of the ring are aligned and flush with the ring groove.
4. Install the second ring:
Place the second ring on top of the first ring.
Again, use an appropriate tool to press the ring evenly into the ring groove.
Make sure the ends of the ring are aligned and flush with the ring groove.
5.Install the third ring:
Do the same thing as step 4
6. Inspection and Adjustment:
Before installing the piston back into the engine, check the piston ring installation.
Make sure the piston rings are not stuck or skewed. Make adjustments if necessary.
